Logan’s first month

Little Logan has had some major life adjustments as he transitioned to life with our family. We’ve also adjusted to having a newborn in the house. So here’s the Logan FAQ for month 1!

1. How is he sleeping?
Ok, admittedly I am writing this at 1am. However he is a really good sleeper. He goes to bed at 10:30, typically wakes up once around 3:00 am and then is back to dreamland until 7:00 am. I am so lucky and he’s a much better sleeper than his sister was at this age. Granted, we did swaddle him from the start, something we learned a month in with Cam.

2. What does Camden think of him?
She is in love with him and constantly wants to “pet baby Logan” which consists of stroking his hair and getting all up in his face.

She is a good helper and likes to hand us wipes when we change his diaper. She also likes to help feed him a bottle.

She enjoys posing with Logan for the pictures of the day!

But her kryptonite is daddy. She gets jealous when Matt holds the baby and tries to encourage anyone else in the room to take him from Matt. She is daddy’s little girl.

3. What do the cats think?
They’re irritated that we once again interrupted their status quo with the introduction of yet another tiny person. But he is a really quiet baby, so they do come visit with him when I am rocking him. Big Puma (Cameron) will wait for us outside Logan’s bedroom door each night and she purrs up a storm as I pet her and feed the baby. Cortana has also liked the extra attention since I’ve been home.

4. Speaking of work, how long are you out?
I am taking 10 weeks of leave, and go back in the middle of November. Matt will then take his two weeks so that Logan will have 12 weeks at home before he starts at the same daycare center his sister attends.
5. What’s his temperament?
He is the most chill and relaxed baby. I’m so lucky. The pediatrician said that God only gives you what you can handle, and he must have known that I couldn’t handle much more! :). Logan is very mellow, likes to cuddle, and is a good eater and napper.
